1. Why an hourglass in the logo?
This is a reference to the family crest of the Van Woelderen family (see illustration). It fits with what Van Woelderen Consulting stands for: continuity and cohesion in society, also between generations.
2. In which sector is Van Woelderen Consulting specialized?
Services are provided to virtually all sectors. Broad and deep knowledge and experience, combined with generically applicable strategic tools and a service that is tailor-made for each customer enable that. Of course for some sectors (such as the financial sector, automotive and social sector) there may be more readily available knowledge or affinity, but in principle that is less of a determinant of a successful advisory job, than an effective collaboration between client and Van Woelderen Consulting.
3. In which languages can consulting services be provided?
For formal or official communication and reporting: Dutch and English. For informal professional interaction French and German are possible. Informal (not professionally; with limited proficiency) in some other languages: Indonesian, Swiss German, Spanish and Italian.
4. Which strategic methods can be used?
OGSM, OKR and Theory of Change. OGSM stands for “Objectives, Goals, Strategies and Measures”. Used by Coca-Cola, Mars and Procter & Gamble. OKR stands for “Objectives & Key Results”. Used by Google, Samsung and Spotify. Theory of Change is used by the United Nations and others.
5. Which types of organizations can Van Woelderen Consulting help?
Any type. Also, teams within organizations. It’s more about the type of services. See under ‘Services’ which ones can be provided. In principle no individuals that are not part of an organization. Exceptions may be possible. Contact me if you want to find out.
6. Can Van Woelderen Consulting also help individuals who or groups of individuals which are not part of an organization?

7. Does Van Woelderen Consulting have structural collaboration partners?
Yes. For strategy as part of leadership development it is Leadership with Legacy. With regards to software for strategic planning and execution, it is Bizaline. Next to that, there are ad hoc cooperations with other communication specialists and other strategic advisors.
8. Is a strategic plan for, say, five years useful in a world that is rapidly changing?
Yes. A plan gives direction. Especially when there are many or rapid changes, a good, concrete plan is needed, including clarity about (very) short-term priorities and progress. However, regular recalibration and adaptation is needed. In any case, a plan should be used as a living document.
9. What is the most important value added of the service “strategic planning and execution”?
The top three by value added of this service. 1: Concreteness. Of your Mission, Vision, Ambition, Goals, Strategies, Actions and Dashboard. This concreteness results in structure, focus and acceleration. 2: Flexibility. The plan and the way of working would give any organization in a dynamic environment more flexibility to anticipate or respond to opportunities and challenges. 3. Communication. A plan, and corresponding culture of transparency and collaboration around it, are a steppingstone to better communication, more mutual understanding, trust and better results.
